Maverick Meerkat , the Ubnutu 10.10 !

The next version of ubuntu will be known as Maverick Meerkat and Ubuntu 10.10 as well. Like always it will be released on October 2010. Mark Shuttleworth of Ubuntu , announced the name on his blog. He says: “It’s time to put our heads together to envision “the perfect 10?. This is a time of great innovation and change in the Linux world, with major new initiatives from powerful groups bringing lots of new ideas, new energy and new code.”
The ubuntu developing team is now focusing on Ubuntu 10.10 as the Ubuntu 10.04 is now ready to release. Ubuntu 10.04 will released on 29 April 2010. The new “social flavor” of Ubuntu will get matured in Ubuntu 10.10. Ubuntu Developers focusing on a much light and user friendly Ubuntu. They also have plans to release a new “Netbook” edition for Ubuntu. This decision will really become a benchmark for the product, because sells of Netbooks is increasing very fast. From Mark Shuttleworth’s blog is also quiet clear that Ubuntu is now trying to reach millions of users using some pirated Windows OS because of some unwanted problems like different interface and different working styles. As GNOME 3 is being introduced in Ubuntu 10.10 seems many more will be attracted to this awesome Open Source OS.

Gravatar is the famous online avatar hosting account. Now it’s great service is not limited to hosting avatars only! Now Gravatar users has full featured profile service in their accounts. You can put all your contact information there. You can also have your own photo gallery too! You can put all your favorite images there, to make them viewable by all. It also linked all your web accounts of other network there. All your accounts will be verified. You can announce all your accounts on your Gravater account, so needn’t to worry about fake account problem.
This service is still in beta testing. So, for now only you can see your accounts and other stuffs. But this service will be live soon. Gravatar announced this new service with a blog post on 26 March. The post says it will also provide new features to sites using Gravatar service.

More News on Google TV !

Some more hot news about Google TV is now here. The most important information is that, it will not be a substitute normal set top box. it will be an additional device to your existing set top boxes. The connection plugs will be like that, so it can be easily plugged to HDMI port of set-top box or DVR. It will have the ability to work with WiFi network, it will also have a built in browser to use the internet through it. Now it’s more or less confirms that, the system will run on Android Operating System. And it will be the first TV based product to do so!
The price of Google TV will be near $299! It will be a big decision of Google, if they plan to sell it without any DTH partner. $299 is not a small amount and people will not accept this if Google TV cannot work with existing technologies.

Twitter Launching @anywhere

Microblogging Giant Twitter is working on their brand new integration system named @anywhere . Twitter CEO Evan Williams has recently commented on that. This new integration system will add a new dimention to thrid party sites using twiitter accounts.
When a site have @anywhere function activated on it , visitors can see the infoermation on site’s twitter accounts as well as latest tweets, by just putting mouse cursor on links ! The good thing is taht they will be able to follow twitter accounts without going to the twitter page !
Twitter gets some big names like Amazon, AdAge, Bing, Citysearch, Digg, eBay, The Huffington Post, Meebo, MSNBC.com, The New York Times, Salesforce.com, Yahoo!, and YouTube with them when launching @anywhere. Experts taking it as reply of Facebook’s Facebook Connect. What ever it is it will surely going to be every helpful for all tweples !

Google introduce Social Network : Google BUZZ

Google has launched a new social networking tool, Google Buzz. The best things about it is you can use it form your inbox. It’s a twitter kind of service. But you can integrate pictures, videos, etc. in to it very easily. You don’t need open an account for that. It will be available at your Google mail in Buzz tab under the inbox tab. You can also follow people here like twitter. Now this is really a big challenge for twitter to stay in the competition and keep their popularity like before. Because all Google service is more popular than it’s rival’s ones. Google is also planning to spread the service to Google apps users (using Gmail and other in self hosted domains).

Facebook is working on a new homepage for it’s users. Currently a very little numbers of users having the opportunity to see it first. If you see the screenshots provided by a FB user, you can see there is lots of differences between the older and the new one. It has a new searching interface. Sending messeges will be easier in this new FB. If you see the images carefully, you’ll be able to notice that , In this version there will be more places to provide ads. So it will bring more money to FB’s pocket undoubtedly.

What to do ?
1. Go to Ping.fm and open an new Account.
2. Now you can see a list of available Networks here.
3. Click on “Add Network” to add an account of that network. Adding account process is very easy. Log in to your Twitter , Frienfeed or Facebook account before doing this.
4. After Adding all your account click on Dashboard.
5. From Dashboard click on “SMS / Text Messaging”.
6. Then click on “Not in the US or Canada? Click here!”
7. A new page will open and click on “click this link” from there.
8. A code will be shown on your monitor. SMS that code to +447786208201 . For example: Type 1234 and send that to +447786208201 .
If you have done all the steps correctly , you can post status from your phone from now on. To check you can do it or not go to http://ping.fm/sms/intl/ , if you see your phone number there you are done , or wait for sometime and check again.

Microsoft Released New IE Patch

Microsoft has released a new patch for it’s popular browser Internet Explorer(IE). This patch will increase security system and close any security hole exist in IE. The patch will work on all IE versions(from 5.01 to 8). Microsoft has going to released that on February 9, 2010. But it forced to release it before time due to French, German and Australian governments advised them to do so.
Recently, Gmail was almost hacked by Chinese hackers. Google said that IE’s security hole was used to do that. After than all users of IE around the world raise their voice to get rid of this problem. So now Microsoft’s this patch will protect users from being hacked. If you are an IE user, just download it and install to be safe from hackers.

Blogger Brings “Page” Feature

Google’s blogging tool , blogger.com has bring adding pages feature in the service. This will allow bloggers to add pages in their blogs which was not possible before. But this is still available Draft version of blogger.com rather than the original one. Bloggers can add pages upto 10 for each of their blogs.
Pages features is very wished feature of the blogger. Bloggers are asking for the features for many days. Another blogging tool WordPrees has this feature since a long. Now blooger.com has it. So the bloggers will be able to add pages like About Me, Contact Me or Advertise in their blogs easily.
Go get that feature logon to Blogger’s Draft version. Then navigate to the blog whice you like to add pages. Then find the “edit pages” tab from the posting menu. Click on “edit pages” then click on “New Page” to add a new one. Then you can edit pages from their. You can also put a pages menu on your blog if you wish to.
