And It is also being redirect to profile pages of users, like if you type fb.me/arifnezami it will redirect you to the main url of the user profile, that is  facebook.com/arifnezami.

It  is a very crucial decision by the team facebook, because it will help FaceBook to be more connected with other websites. It will also be helpful to the mobile version of FaceBook.
